When choosing a font for your WebDecal there are a few guidelines to follow for best results. Our default font, Arial Black, was chosen because we found it to be a bold, highly visible and easy to read font. We have many examples of this font throughout our site. If, however, you want a different font, we are be happy to print your WebDecal as you request.
- Make sure your letters are wide or bold enough to be seen from a distance.
- Fancy fonts like Balmoral or Edwardian are difficult to see in the smaller sizes. The minimum size for fonts like these should be 1.5 or 2 inches tall.
- Fancy fonts should be kept as a top line only with a complimentary font on other lines. Although these fonts are beautiful, they are harder to read.
- A line with all capital letters in a fancy font is unreadable.
It is best to keep your choice of fonts simple so your WebDecal will be easy to read when driving. We suggest experimenting in your word document program with different fonts and sizes to get an idea how your WebDecal will look. We can help you choose a font and have a large variety available to us.

We recommend adding a slogan or 'tag line' on your WebDecal that explains your product or service or one that attracts interest or curiosity. A line like "Fire Your Boss" is a good example. Who wouldn't want to Fire Their Boss and work for themselves? It catches the eye and creates an emotion. People remember things more when a thought is connected with an emotion.
Think about what you want to get across in a few words. You only want to attract attention with your WebDecal not explain your offer. Ask yourself what excites you most about what you are offering. Is it a service that everyone can use? Is it a product that is unique and needed? How will it help? Will it save Time? Will it save Money?
Write down all the slogans you can think of and make your decision from that list.

When applying your WebDecal, make sure the letters are not touching the glass otherwise the letters may come off and cling to the glass when you remove your WebDecal.
When you first receive your decal while it is still on the backing material, hold it up to the light and look at the printed text. If the text reads normally, your decal was printed to go on the Outside of the window. If the letters are printed backward when you hold your decal up, your decal was printed to go on the Inside of your window. |

It
is extremely important that you clean your window before applying a WebDecal. Use a commercial window cleaner such as Windex or
Glass Plus. Cleaning with some water and a paper towel, an old
rag or the sleeve of your jacket does not qualify. :-) Dirt interferes
with the exchange of static electricity and your WebDecal will
not adhere correctly unless the glass is clean.
When applying a static cling WebDecal,
line up the top edge with the defroster lines in your window.
By the way, a rear defroster will not affect or be affected by
a WebDecal. If your window curves you may not be able to line
the entire top length with the decal. Just use the lines as a
guide to make sure your WebDecal is applied straight. If you
don't get it right the first time, just peel it off and try again.
When smoothing down your WebDecal
do not scratch the letters with your fingernails, a dry paper
towel, a credit card or anything hard or rough. The best 'tools'
to use are your fingertips or a soft rubber spatula. Work the
larger bubbles out toward the edges, the smaller bubbles will
disappear on their own as they 'cure' through the vinyl. |

Try capitalizing your website address so it is easier to read and understand quickly. Your website address will be in front of many people for brief periods of time. You want it to be instantly readable. Capitalizing your URL will assure easier readability.
For example:
|
This |
Instead of this |
www.CollectTheCheck.com
www.HVmusic.com
www.RxforWellness.com |
www.collectthecheck.com
www.hvmusic.com
www.rxforwellness.com |
Internet Explorer and Netscape will read a URL written with capital letters, however,
we strongly suggest you test your URL with the capital letters
before ordering to insure it will work correctly. |

Your static cling WebDecal will need periodical cleaning if you have it on the outside of your
vehicle. Just think about how dirty your car gets. The effect
of rain, sun and the dirt we encounter on roads and highways
will eventually seep in around the edges of your WebDecal.
When this happens all you need do is remove the decal, wash it with warm water and mild soap. Clean the window with any commercial
window cleaner and reapply. This periodical maintenance is not
needed if you put your WebDecal on the inside of the window or
if you have an adhesive WebDecal or bumper sticker.

|
Do not fold a WebDecal or allow the letters to touch each other. Make sure you store them front
to back, not front to front, especially in the heat. This is
one of the few way you can damage a WebDecal.
