Care Instructions
Just as the surface of your vehicle gets dirty and needs occasional
washing, so do webdecals. The effects of rain and highway dirt will
eventually seep in around the edges and begin to lift the vinyl off the
glass surface. How often this occurs depends on where you live and what
the weather is like there.
When you begin to see this happen, it’s easy to remedy the situation.
Just remove your webdecal and wash it with warm water and a mild soap.
Hand or dish soap is ideal. Rinse and dry well.
Clean the surface area before you reapply. It is very important to make
sure there is no dirt to interfere with the exchange of static electricity
that allows static cling vinyl to adhere to glass or metal without
adhesive. Do not apply your webdecal on a very hot surface or in direct
sunlight, you may burn your fingers! Make sure to press your webdecal
firmly in place especially around the edges. Press any bubbles that may
appear to the edge of the vinyl to remove.
There have been mixed reviews on webdecals successfully going through a
commercial car wash. We have concluded that if a car wash uses a
laser-like stream of water directly on your vehicle, it is best to remove
your webdecal before washing and reapply after the vehicle is dry.
Webdecals have successfully gone through car washes that have a softer,
more scattered spray many times with no problems. Use your judgement
before going through your favorite car wash.
Of course, if you apply your static cling webdecal to the interior of the
glass or you have an adhesive webdecal or bumper sticker you do not
have to concern yourself with car washes or periodic cleaning. Just make
sure you apply them to a clean surface in the first place for best
results.
Complete application instructions will be included with your order.
